Hi! ^_^ after reading some SEO e-books and tutorials, I encountered many questions about SEO. Like, what will make me on top? Or what are the factors that determine my position in the natural listing for a specific key phrase? And what is their relative importance?

Again, what is Search engine optimization?

Wikipedia says that, Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the volume and quality of traffic to a web site from search engines via “natural” (”organic” or “algorithmic”) search results for targeted keywords. Usually, the earlier a site is presented in the search results or the higher it “ranks”, the more searchers will visit that site. SEO can also target different kinds of search, including image search, local search, and industry-specific vertical search engines.

Seomoz.org - SEO is the active practice of optimizing a web site by improving internal and external aspects in order to increase the traffic the site receives from search engines.

wilshirepr.com - Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is an Online marketing technique that targets keywords and phrases related to a website, and aims to rank that site high in the search engines when a user searches on those keywords and phrases. This is a dynamic, complicated task. It is changing all the time and it is an ongoing battle.

Lets go back to the topic. ^_^

According to SEO Best Practice Guide 2007 of e-consultancy.com there is a six ranking factors…

1.	Planning and strategy including setting performance targets.
2.	Index inclusion and coverage.
3.	On-page optimization.
4.	Link-building (internal and External)
5.	SEO process
6.	Conversion efficiency.

Those at the heart of search engine ranking are success factors 2, 3 and 4. Because, if your pages are not included within the index then you cannot expect to gain any search engine referrals. Once included, search results are dependent on the combination of On-page optimization and link-building.

That’s all for now, on my next post our topic is about the two most important factors in SEO.

Have you ever heard about SEO or Search Engine Optimization? Well, since the number of searches by people trying to find information is still growing dramatically, the SEO is becoming more popular to every Webmaster, Internet Marketer and blogger nowadays.

SEO which is also known as Organic listing is a part of Search Engine Marketing (SEM) that aimed at achieving the highest position practically possible in the organic listing on the search engine results pages (SERP).

Unlike the other type of SEM, SEO is free. There is no charge for organic to be displayed, nor when a link to your site is clicked on. So I think I need to learn this SEO thing because I don’t have money to spend on advertising.

I never dream to become an expert in SEO, I just want to learn something about it.
Do you want to learn also? Ok then follow me to my next journey to the world of SEO.

Hi there people! Is there anyone who would like to congratulate me? Well I didn’t win any blogger’s choice awards. I’m just so happy because after relentless months of trying, PPP finally approved my blog.

I know that most of you already knew about PPP or PayperPost but for the people who didn’t, Payperpost is a website which helps content creators such as bloggers, videographers, podcasters and photographers find advertisers willing to sponsor specific content. The advertisers create opportunities “opps” that describe the content they are looking for (e.g. feedback, reviews, buzz, creative and video). The bloggers (sometimes referred to as “Posties”) then choose opportunities in their area of interest.

The nice thing about the PPP system is that you can choose what job you want to accept. So, it means that you will get paid for your post about the things that interest you.

I heard many things about PPP before but I’m not interested on it because I’m busy with my different websites that time. Until I received a comment on makulit.net from one of my visitors named Haze. She said that if I want to earn more revenue on my music blog why not try to sign up on PPP? She also said that she earned $1000 - $2000 depends on Opps so I was inspired about it and created this blog right away hehe.

What am I going to do with all the money I earn? I don’t have any idea by now maybe I will buy new laptop, iPod nano or Cell phone.

And you! If you have a blog and you want to make money then submit it to PayPerPost and enjoy the benefit of it!
Just click the badge in this post to sign up directly on PPP website.

After my vacation, I realized that the development of my blog is slower than the other blogs out there. While searching for some tips, I found a post about a list of 88 business-growing strategies for 2008 developed by Aaron Hoos

Here are 88 activities to schedule for this year to help you increase market share, improve profitability, and strengthen your business.

1. Submit online articles: Submitted articles drive traffic to your site when they are distributed to blogs and e-zines, but they also position you very well, especially if they come up in natural searches. Outline 24 articles and write two per month.

2. Create press releases: One of the best ways in 2007 and 2008 to get business information distributed online. Go with a site like PRWeb.com and pay for a higher tier distribution.

3. Develop an offsite blog: If you don’t already have a blog, create one. Blogger.com has a free, user-friendly interface. Link back to your website.

4. Create a helpful video: YouTube.com is not just for funny videos caught on camera phones. Search their “How To” section to see many great examples of helpful videos. Once inspired, create one or more of your own related to your industry. Post on YouTube and link back to your site.

5. Advertise with AdWords: Still one of the best online advertising methods around. Drive targeted traffic to your site and use their metrics to measure your effectiveness.

6. Submit to Wikipedia: Wikipedia searches well and helps you to position yourself. Don’t make the mistake of creating self-serving entries. Instead, create authoritative, unbiased entries about a topic related to your industry or service. Include a number of service providers (including your site) in the entry, and from your site add the blurb “be sure to see our Wikipedia entry”.

7. Submit to Squidoo: Squidoo.com is one of the internet’s best kept secrets. Users create “lenses” about topics and pull together blogs, videos, and websites related to that topic. It’s Seth Godin’s project so you know it will be good.

8. Participate in forums: When used right, forums can help you grow your business. Unfortunately, most business-growth advice related to forums suggests that you post with a footer containing your URL. They ignore the rest of the advice: a forum is a community and its membership is enriched when everyone participates. Find forums related to your industry and become a valuable contributor. When people see the value you give, they’ll seek you out for help. Add a URL to your footer… but only if you actually participate and add value to the conversation.

9. Offer a whitepaper: These are presented as researched and unbiased reports, usually in a “problem-solution” format. While the whitepaper provider is typically presenting themselves as the solution (so maybe there is SOME bias!) the supporting research and clear thinking that should be present will help to persuade readers.

10. Get LinkedIn: LinkedIn.com is a networking site for businesspeople. It’s a way to connect with the businesspeople you know and then get introduced to the people they know. Unfortunately, people grow their networks but don’t seem to use them. Change that habit! Grow your network and commit to arranging an introduction with at least one person every week.

11. Look at your website again: Make 2008 the year that your site becomes stronger than ever. It doesn’t matter if you spend all day, every day looking at your site, or you haven’t looked at it for some time. Set aside time to log on using a different computer (borrow a friend’s if you have to) and see how your website looks with a different connection and screen. Ask friends to click through your site and watch them to see what they look at and where they click.

12. Refine your niche: When was the last time you thought about who your customer is? Take a moment to write down what your typical customer is like. Give them a name and write a paragraph or two about them — what their interests are, how they spend their time and money, and what stresses exist in their lives.

13. Strengthen your benefits: It’s so easy for anyone who sells something to gradually shift the emphasis from the benefits to the features of the product. Take a look at your offering and make sure that every benefit is explicit. And if you haven’t tweaked your benefits lately, do so now: Breathe new life into them with updated language.

14. Stop transacting… start building a relationship: A transaction is expensive. A relationship is priceless. A single transaction — where you sell once and never contact the customer again — is a very expensive way to do business. Instead, build relationships with customers by offering high value products or services, surprising value beyond what they expect, and an honest, friendly approach.

15. Stop wasting your time with SEO: Business spend way too much time on the least effective search engine optimization techniques. Forget about keyword ratios and buying links. Instead, create value with authoritative content and share it with others.

16. Advertise offline: There’s an entire world of customers offline. What’s more, local consumers don’t necessarily search online for many products and services that they expect to find near their home. Use local radio, local television, or local newspapers, depending on your budget and offering.

17. Offer referral bonuses: Happy customers are good to have. Happy customers who tell their friends about your business are great to have. Sometimes they need incentives to share their good experience with their friends. Offer them a kickback or bonus on future sales you make with their friends.

18. Streamline processes: Identify the five things you do most often and develop ways to do it better. This might mean tweaking how you process a customer order or refining how you assemble raw materials into a finished product.

19. Send out a subscription ezine: Offer extremely helpful information that customers will want to save and reference again and again.

20. Become an authority: Customers want to trust the companies that they do business with and one way to build that trust is to show them that you know what you are talking about. Identify two or three industry-related areas where you can become an expert and share the wealth of knowledge that you already have.

21. Analyze your obvious competition: Most businesses can list their top 3 or 5 competitors very easily. But it’s much more difficult to answer the question “why do some people choose the competition instead of you?” Know what you do well, know what your competitors do well, and know more about your competitors than they know about themselves.

22. Analyze your hidden competition: Competition comes from direct sources (like those who offer similar products to you) but it also comes from indirect sources. A direct competitor for a nightclub is another nightclub. An indirect competitor might be the cinema or a night at home with popcorn and a rented movie. Who are your indirect competitors?

23. Analyze the market leaders: They may not have an impact in your marketplace or with your exact niche, but there are well-known market leaders who influence your customer’s buying decisions even if they shop at your store instead. Who are your market leaders and what do they sell? How is it similar? How is it different? What are they telling your customers?

24. Survey your customers: Create a simple survey of 3 questions and ask every customer. Identify your top ten customers and give them an incentive to fill out a longer survey (but one that should not take more than 15 minutes). Wring from the results as much information as you can.

25. Look at your differentiators: Think about your top direct and indirect competitors. Ask yourself what makes you different than all the rest. Celebrate those differences in your marketing and your service.

26. Outline current best practices: Whether intentional or not, every business has their own practices. Are yours best practices? Identify what those practices are and strengthen them by making them more efficient and more closely tied to your differentiators.

27. Look at best practices within your industry: Look at your best practices and compare them to other businesses in your industry. Are your practices similar to the standards? When they differ, make sure it’s because you do it better than the rest.

28. Look at best practices outside of your industry: Consider best practices outside of your industry. Other companies — perhaps in an entirely different industry than yours — have similar challenges: perhaps supply chain issues or keeping customers happy. How do they do it? What can you extrapolate from their efforts to apply to your own business?

29. Brainstorm innovation: If you’ve been running on autopilot, it’s time for something new. Brainstorm new products or services or new ways of doing the same old thing. Frankly, if you haven’t failed at something this year, you haven’t tried hard enough.

30. Identify what you do best. Outsource the rest: This is a simple matter of doing more of what you do well. There is a cost but the result is more profitable.

31. Identify your 4 core business functions: Every business has just 4 basic functions: strategy, support, value adding, and sales. On a piece of paper, write down each activity you do and which of those 4 functions it falls under. If you can’t identify which function an activity falls under, chances are good that the activity is not essential to your success.

32. Strengthen strategy: Set aggressive goals and develop actionable objectives to reach those goals. Schedule each objective immediately.

33. Strengthen support: Review your current supporting activities (payables, receivables, HR, etc.) and identify where your efforts fell short in 2007. Consider those as “red flags” indicating an area where your support efforts could use bolstering.

34. Strengthen Value Add: In order to have a product or service to sell, your business takes something and adds value to it. Think about how you can add more value to it. Some of that value should be free and some of that value should increase the price.

35. Strengthen Sales: One of the best things to do today to grow your sales is to try to do 10% more sales effort this month than you did last month. If you called 10 people a day this month, call 11 people a day next month.

36. Commit to self improvement or training: Identify one area you could improve and get training: take night school courses or enroll in online learning to fit into your business schedule.

37. List customers in descending order from most profitable to least profitable and make a plan for each: For the most profitable customers, ask yourself how you can increase sales to them. For the least profitable customers, consider dropping them or finding ways to improve profitability.

38. Identify your top 10 customers and list value-added service that you can offer that costs them nothing: Your top ten customers are likely your lifeblood and losing them would have a serious impact on your company. Identify something special you can do for them to show them how important they are to you.

39. Start at the top of the list and call each customer: Once you have your list of top ten customers, don’t wait for them to come to you. Contact them and proactively offer value-added service.

40. Subscribe to Jeffrey Gitomer’s ezine and read it faithfully: Jeffrey Gitomer has one of the best ezines out there. Each issue is full of value that translates into real dollars for you. Subscribe to it at Gitomer.com and read it religiously.

41. Read The Sales Bible by Jeffrey Gitomer

42. Read Swim With the Sharks Without Being Eaten Alive by Harvey Mackay

43. Read How to Master the art of Selling by Tom Hopkins

44. Read Blue Ocean Strategy by W. Chan Kim and Rene Mauborgne

45. Read The Brand Called You by Peter Montoya

46. Read How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie

47. Read Multiple Streams of Income by Robert G. Allen

48. Read Never Eat Alone by Keith Ferrazzi

49. Read The Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell

50. Read E-Myth Mastery by Michael E. Gerber

51. Offer webinars: Make the leap from business-person to business-leader. Identify something that you know and teach others. It might be product or service related, in which case you’ll want to teach your customers, or it might be related to the operations side of the business, in which case you’ll want to teach other business people. Use a site like WebEx to help you create an excellent production.

52. Build your business network: Your business network is made up of a number of groups, including colleagues. Think about reconnecting with people you haven’t spoken to in a while. Tell them that you want to grow your business and offer them an incentive for all business they directly send you.

53. Build your business network: Your business network is made up of a number of groups, including suppliers. Do you have a good relationship with your suppliers? Are you getting the best value from them? Turn the tables and take your suppliers out for lunch. Ask them about new ways to grow your business. You’ll be surprised at the help they can offer.

54. Build your business network: Your business network is made up of a number of groups, including distributors. Are you using your distribution network as effectively as possible? Consider adding another distribution channel to increase sales.

55. Build your business network: Your business network is made up of a number of groups, including partners. Think about who your current partners are. Likely they assist you in one of your 4 business functions — it may include an accountant, independent salespeople, copywriters, or a call center. Can you expand your partnerships? Can you enhance them in some way to get more value from them or to gain exposure to new clients? Ask your partners for referrals.

56. Move your business more fully online: Chances are, your business can become more efficient by moving more of it online. Most frequently, this might mean offering more information about your products and services or it might mean creating a log-in area for your customers to access their accounts.

57. Create or modify your ZoomInfo account: Love it or hate it, ZoomInfo.com scours the net for information and posts it. If it hasn’t posted information about you yet, chances are good that it will shortly. Don’t wait for it to happen, proactively develop your own profile and monitor it to make sure that any additional information is correct. It searches well, too, so use that to your advantage.

58. Participate in the GoBigNetwork: GoBigNetwork.com is an excellent and underappreciated site that helps businesses and connects them with others. Use their resources and share your knowledge with other businesses.

59. Use coupons, specials, or sales: Create a special offer that is exciting but time limited. Promote it with press releases and other marketing efforts.

60. Create an elevator pitch: Can you describe your business in 10 to 20 seconds… and do it in a way that entices your listener to ask for more information? Write your elevator pitch and practice it, along with compelling responses to frequently asked follow-up questions.

61. Identify your 5 biggest customer challenges and eliminate them: Experience will tell you the typical customer challenges that are repeated again and again. Most businesses keep on selling, ignoring the challenges. Smart businesses, though, will address the challenges before they happen.

62. Identify all of your assets: You have many assets in your business. There are the assets you know about — probably your computer, your raw materials, your vehicle, and even your employees. And there are also the assets you don’t immediately think of: your talents, and all the research and information you’ve gathered over the years. List all of your assets and place a dollar value beside each one. Should you insure some of them? What happens if you lose one? Can you leverage some assets more effectively?

63. Create a 1 year plan: Think about where you see your business in 1 year. Determine exactly what it will look like (with measurable goals) and create actionable objectives to get you there.

64. Create a 5 year plan: Think about where you see your business in 5 years. Determine exactly what it will look like (with measurable goals) and create actionable objectives to get you there.

65. Create a 10 year plan: Think about where you see your business in 10 years. Determine exactly what it will look like (with measurable goals) and create actionable objectives to get you there.

66. Create a 25 year plan: Think about where you see your business in 25 years. Determine exactly what it will look like (with measurable goals) and create actionable objectives to get you there.

67. Create an exit plan: Think about the circumstances under which you would stop doing business. Is there an economic loss that would trigger you shutting down the business? What would you sell your business for if someone showed up tomorrow and asked you to list your price? Your business has an exit plan, whether or not you’ve developed an explicitly: For most small business owners the unstated exit plan is “death or destitute… whichever comes first”. Be proactive and create your own exit plan.

68. Create a contingency plan: Imagine that the economy weakens or your competitors become more aggressive, and you no longer have the customer base you once did. How will you get more customers quickly? Are there old customers you can call? Is there a proven limited time offer that you can keep in your back pocket for such an occasion?

69. Create a contingency plan: Imagine that your business could not longer provide the service or products it once did: maybe there is a prolonged power outage that keeps you from getting online, or a natural disaster that keeps you from getting the raw material you need, or a change in the local economy that drives your employees away. How will you maintain “business as usual”?

70. Create a contingency plan: Imagine that you woke up one morning and discovered that your product was somehow linked to a tragedy. What would you do? Create a contingency right now for potential bad press related to your offering. Chances are, you’ll know what kinds of bad press other people in your industry face. Imagine that it happens to you (whether true or not) and create a plan to deal with it: How should you react? Who will you contact? What will you post on your website? Will you create a press release to rebut the situation?

71. Answer questions: People want to find trusted information and sometimes they don’t want to go looking for it. Sign up to a site like Yahoo! Answers to share what you already know about your industry.

72. Develop an upsell or an ancillary product: Are you offering your customers something extra for something extra? Offer an upsell on your product or service with a high value additional purchase.

73. Start a group on Facebook: Facebook is moving beyond being merely a social utility. Start a group that is connected with your industry. However, strive to be better than most Facebook groups and empower participates to participate!

74. Create a Google Group: A Google Group is a discussion that other people can view. Start a group related to your industry, and be sure to participate in other groups as well.

75. Create an additional way for people to find you: Think about another way to help people find you. One of the easiest ways is to create another website. Don’t do it if you are struggling to get traffic to your current site, but if you have traffic and want more, develop another (different) website.

76. Improve your call to action: Take a new look at how you ask for a sale. Change it up: talk to successful stock brokers, car salespeople, and insurance salespeople to see how they “ask for the order” in industries that are notoriously tough to sell in.

77. Eliminate procrastination: Of the many vices that people wrestle with, procrastination impacts business the most. Stop putting off the important stuff.

78. Make your website a destination: Many websites are created and left alone while the owner is off marketing; meanwhile, customers transact business on the site and leave. Think about what you can do to draw people back to your site again and again.

79. Network relentlessly: Join all appropriate networking associations in your community. Some good ones include the Chamber of Commerce, Toastmasters, a local community group, and perhaps an industry association as well.

80. Collect testimonials: Do you have recent testimonials or are yours collecting dust? Contact your customer base and ask for testimonials (and while you’re at it, offer them a discounted product).

81. Revive your marketing collateral: Think about the last time you looked at your brochures and supporting documentation. Are the people in the pictures still wearing bell bottoms? Update your marketing collateral with new graphics, stronger benefits, and a twenty-first century flavor.

82. Get ready for Google Knol: As of this writing, Google Knol is still in development and is not yet available for public participation. But it will be unveiled soon. Keep an eye out for it and be ready to jump in with your own effort. Talk about your industry and business.

83. Do something that creates buzz: It’s easy for marketing to become repetitive. Get people talking with a buzz-creating marketing effort that is different, memorable, and perhaps attention-getting.

84. Take a little vacation: Nothing sharpens your mind, improves productivity, and reduces stress like a good vacation. Even if you just take a long weekend.

85. Do something outside of your industry: It’s easy for business owners to walk around with blinders on. Read books that are outside of your industry or take a class in an entirely different field — just do something to expand your view.

86. Sell to those who turned you down: Contact all the prospects who ever said “no” to you and pitch to them again. (Didn’t keep their names? Then your task for 2008 is to keep their names and pitch to them in 2009).

87. Know your numbers: At the end of every week, write down the number of prospects you had and then write down the number of sales you made in order to determine your conversion ratio. From one week to the next, strive to improve your conversion ratio.

88. Do some good: Put it all in perspective and generate some karma by doing good in the world. Don’t join a charitable group to explicitly promote your business. But if you actively and selflessly participate in charitable work, you will benefit.

To decrease the jobless population here in the Philippines, many blogger encourage their fellow Filipino into blogging.

<img src="http://www.leandroarban.com/image/baboy.jpg" align="right" width="230" height="300"alt="malu fernandez pictures" />
But on the other side, there is a controversial writer named Malu Fernandez who is against on it and called blogging as a “SLACKER JOB” or a medium and pastime for lonely people to connect.

Malu Fernandez Became popular to filipino blogger when she made an irresponsible, elitist, bigoted, and discriminating comments in her People Asia magazine article “From Boracay to Greece” about Overseas Filipino Workers.

The problem with blogging….

By Malu Fernandez

Just this morning I got a text telling me to check out some blog with juicy gossip about the so called “Gucci Gang” curiously enough I logged on and read all the gossip and juicy details. Whether or not the stories were true I didn’t really care to find out nor do I care to be involved. It makes no difference in my life who did what to whom it was just a leisure gossip read and I was just one of the many people who read the blog but halfway through I became quite disturbed as it made me reminiscent of the numerous blogs I was once the hot topic of.

Before I go any further I must stress the point that this is not about my previous issue, but simply the point of view of someone who has been a victim of vicious blogging and blogging as a new communication medium. To those of you who are mass/volume or dense (that’s the physics formula for density to those who are clueless) again, I repeat this is not a reaction toward my past actions.

So let me continue, first of all I believe in the freedom of speech. By all means say what you need to say. Unfortunately for most of the bloggers without advertising you get paid nothing. If in fact you do get paid then hooray for you. But blogging, aside from Perez Hilton and the other big time bloggers (you know who you are) is for me a slacker job or a medium and pastime for lonely people to connect. Unless you’re in bloody Siberia or in a Gulag prison, try stepping outside your comfort zone and turn off the laptop or pc, you just might find some real live people to talk to instead of typing away in cyber space.

On the flipside blogging can be a good source of information and a great way to exchange ideas. This I strongly encourage whether it is about politics, fashion, food or whatever topic you may choose. Friendly and healthy discussions are always great.

The difference between a journalist and a blogger is that journalists have to adhere to certain guidelines that govern the freedom of speech. And whatever a journalist chooses to write about—be it popular or unpopular—we do not hide behind an anonymous name and are resigned to the fact that we have to take as much as we dish out. However, I simply detest people who place vicious comments and slanderous statements in blogs yet sign their messages as ‘anonymous.’ If you have something to say, don’t hide behind a false name. It’s just plain cowardice of you to do so. I have more of a deep sense of respect for those—however unpopular or vicious their statements are—who post their views with their real names and make no bones about it. At least they stand for something; I would rather take it from them than the cowards that hide behind false names.

Perhaps it is the Filipino culture to foster backstabbing because they never mean what they say face to face. Just how many times have you dealt with co-workers who will smile in your face when you ask them to perform a task or engage in just plain conversation, when in fact they are quite uncomfortable with the situation and are forced to do what they absolutely detest with a smiling face. I guess it’s the kind of culture brought about by 300 years of Spanish colonization. To one particular blogger of Spanish descent but with an Indio face, don’t act like a peninsulares and quote Spanish words from the generation of your abuelita… jeez and they call me elitist. The Spanish rule is over, get over yourself and your Español relatives who used to have power… but I digress (oops, my bad…) Let’s move forward.

It’s just like all this hullabaloo about ousting GMA. You deposed ERAP in Edsa Dos. Now you’re unhappy with his replacement. Make up your minds. (For the record I’m not pro anybody I’m pro whatever lesser evil is out there). You can’t overthrow one president then decide you made a mistake with your second choice. I’s not like buying a green Hermes bag and suddenly deciding, oops I should have gotten the black one instead. Unfortunately that’s the kind of nation we have become, a bunch of wishy-washy whiners who whine about everything under the sun and found the blog sphere to be the new medium for whining. Yes we do what we have to do as a nation to get things done and stop corruption and evil (I’m all for that) but we never seem to be happy with what we have, hence the complaining and whining. It just never stops.

I suppose I started some kind of trend by eliciting nasty comments and reactions via blog because of my indiscretion. But it seems to be a comfortable medium for people to vent their anger on just about everything they disagree with. I have been called an irresponsible journalist so what does that make you? It is easy to hide under the guise of anonymity you can say just about anything you want because you have no repercussions to deal with. It’s easy to hide behind a false moniker isn’t it?

Just a thought to ponder on… Maybe I should start an anonymous blog and really let go… but then again I don’t want to be responsible for World War Three and I would sleep much better being brutally honest in your face than hide behind an anonymous name. Wouldn’t it be hilarious if I started a blog just to shake things up and got a ton of money in advertising? If I do decide to do that I thank you all in advance for inspiring me… I’m always a glass half full kinda girl anyway… Source: http://www.manilastandardtoday.com/?page=goodLife2_mar10_2008

This are some of my favorite response made by filipino bloggers on her first controversial issue.

by kitenashi:
yes, thats a very acerbic response just like her soul is. ive got friends who are really rich and true people but not a racist like her. this woman of plus size doesnt know the meaning being sensitive. she is a filipino and even if she had a chance to jet around the world…she’s not that rich as she claims since she still pinch money on economy. its a good thing that she was mistakenly though for a domestic helper…then it means all those branded beauty supplies doesnt work for her…since with all the wealth she got…she could not change her looks..maybe her housemaids look a lot better than her….therefore, she take chances on being a racist because she could never falunt her looks….what a pity of a human being! someday, the wheel has to turn around..maybe her family of politicians…are just as greedy and corrupted like her. thats why if the philippine government is composed of people like her family..no wonder..there will be a lot more ofw’s in different part of the world that she will be suffocated to deal with.

by malexa don’t cha:
It is indeed amazing to know that somebody is brave enough to let others know her true nature by writing such a ridiculous crap. She is poisoning her own blood. Who is she referring to as “Filipinos”?Isn’t she one? Poor her. I don’t give a damn if she was born with a golden spoon on her mouth, she still smells trash .I salute the OFW’s for their courage to live their family and work abroad.I hope she’ll realized that writing something for public reading must be given utmost care.

By Jeps:
Ms. piggy is a lousy self centered and ignorant pork and beans who should really be in a “sardine can” and stay there until she knows how to live a life in a real world. We ofw’s do not need another bitch like her to shake our worlds, we have already enough of her family in politics doing a lot of funny circus and magics in the government so why bother. I believe MS should send back ms. porky to her “koral” and reeducate her or yet to La Loma to roast her.

I’m busy right now working on my two new websites. that’s the reason why I didn’t have any post these past few days. So how’s life? Hehe.

Last year when I joined in a Filipino community forum about SEO, I heard so many new acronyms that make me out of the topic.
I had to search for each acronym so that I can relate on their conversation.
While searching, I discovered that the acronyms they are using are called Internet Marketing Acronym. So here are some, hope it will help.

ASP (Application Service Provider) - Deploys, hosts and manages access to a packaged application to multiple parties from a centrally managed facility

CPC (Cost per click) - also known as PPC (Pay per click)

CPI (Cost per Impression) - is a phrase often used in online advertising and marketing related to web traffic. It is used for measuring the worth and cost of a specific e-marketing campaign.

CPA (Cost per Acquisition) - which has to do with the fact that most CPA offers by advertisers are about acquiring something (mostly new customers, prospects or leads). Using the term “Cost per Acquisition” instead of “Cost per Action” is not incorrect. It is actually more specific. “Cost per Acquisition” is included in “Cost per Action”, but not all “Cost per Action” offers can be referred to as “Cost per Acquisition”.

CPM (Cost per mille) also called cost per thousand (CPT) - It is used in marketing as a benchmark to calculate the relative cost of an advertising campaign or an ad message in a given medium. Rather than an absolute cost, CPM estimates the cost per 1000 views of the ad.

CPS (Cost per Sale) - A form of advertising where the customer pays a set price for each sale made through a specific link.

CTR (Click through Ratio) - The number of times an ad or link is shown compared to the number of times it was clicked on.

E-Book (Electronic Book) - A popular resource in Internet Marketing to learn and grow their business. There are e-books on just about every other topic as well.

eCPM (Effective Cost Per Mille) - the cost of every 1,000 ad impressions shown. Gives advertisers an estimate of what they would earn with 1,000 imressions.

IM (Internet Marketing) - Leveraging the Internet in order to advertise a company or product.

PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor) - A server-side, cross-platform, HTML embedded scripting language.

PLR (Private Label Rights) - A common type of articles, templates and ebooks in which you may use and edit but you may not sell or claim full copyright.

PPC (Pay per click) - is an advertising model used on search engines, advertising networks, and content websites/blogs, where advertisers only pay when a user actually clicks on an ad to visit the advertiser’s website.

PPCSE (Pay per Click Search Engine) - A search engine that charges advertisers a fee for each click the advertiser receives.

PPP (Pay per play) - is an online advertising method that plays an audio advertisement on websites. The term “pay per play” comes from advertisers paying for each audio ad played. Also, the web page playing the audio ad is normally paid for each ad they serve.

PV (Page View) - When any given page is open by a viewer. One UV (unique visitor) could create several PV’s.

ROI (Return on Investment) - is the ratio of money gained or lost on an investment relative to the amount of money invested.

ROS (Run of Site) - A non-targeted advertising technique that provides the advertiser with the opportunity to reach a broad audience by running ads throughout a website.

SE (Search Engine) - An Internet tool used to find web-site pages relevant to your search query.

SEP (Search Engine Positioning) - The ranking of a website page for a given search term on a search engine.

SEM (Search engine marketing) - is a form of Internet marketing that seeks to promote websites by increasing their visibility in search engine result pages (SERPs). According to the Search Engine Marketing Professionals Organization, SEM methods include: search engine optimization (or SEO), paid placement, and paid inclusion.

SEO (Search engine optimization) - is the process of improving the volume and quality of traffic to a web site from search engines via “natural” (”organic” or “algorithmic”) search results for targeted keywords. Usually, the earlier a site is presented in the search results or the higher it “ranks”, the more searchers will visit that site.

SERPS - Search Engine Result Pages - The page in which the results of a search engine query are displayed.

UV (Unique Visitor) - One individual visitor to a web-site. If one person visits several pages on the same site it is still one UV.

Other than Alexa Rank and Google Pagerank I also want to have a High Technorati Authority.
Since Technorati is one of the leading blog search engine, improving your Technorati Authority can contribute to increase your blog visibility, traffic, and reputation in the blogosphere.

The best way that I can suggest to increase your Technorati Authority is to join on different Memetag.

So what is Memetag?
Memetag is an idea, project, statement or even a question that is posted by one blog and responded to by other blogs.
Wiki define it as a blog tool included in all posts that reference a meme

If you’re not familiar with it, the idea is that someone starts a meme about something, provides their responses to the meme, and then tags a number of other bloggers to pass on the meme.

Example:

A blogger invites five other bloggers to list their ‘top five songs of all time’.

Those bloggers publish their list, incude the memetag that links back to the original invite, then invites five more bloggers and asks them to include a link to the original post.

The next five list their top five songs of all time, each linking back to the original post using the memetag. Each of them invites five more friends.

And so on.

Do you want to give it a try?

Then, I will give you the opportunity to join on this Viral Tagging and memetag shared to me by JoanJoyce. Thanks for this Ate

* Just Cut and paste the following starting here.*

I have randomly selected 5 of you below to be tagged and I hope that you will similarly publish this post in your blog. You will have to tag 5 other bloggers and just keep adding on to the list. (Do not replace, just keep on adding! Yes we hope it will be a long list!)It’s real easy! Tag others and see your Technorati Authority increase exponentially!
The benefits of Viral Linking:- One of the fastest ways to see your technorati authority explode!- Increase your Google PageRank fast- Attract large volume of new traffic to your site- Build your community- Make new friends!

Yesterday I’m so happy because all the bloggers that are included on my friendly tag have visited on my blog and leave some comment. But as I looked at the upper part of my internet explorer I noticed that the pagerank in google toolbar is now purely white and the alt says no pagerank information available. What the heck!

I know that this situation is not new to you, since many blogger already experienced this. And somehow loosing PR1 is not a dramatic story compared to the other blogger who have PR5 or PR4 then became PR0 after the pagerank update.

Still, I’m not feeling well about it. because, I’m the kind of person who, for example, I have a hundred sheeps and one of them disappears, I will try to find where that sheep is, no matter what.

But in this case hmmmn, I know where my PR is, it’s gone…
And there’s nothing I can do with that. Wish me luck next time.

While reading some magazines that I borrowed from our neighbor, I found an article on Girlfriend Magazine June 2007 edition located on Page 55 entitled How to write like a pro by Gina Abuyuan. This is somehow related to blogging that you may find helpful especially for a new blogger like me. I just summarized the description so it start like this.

Having impeccable grammar and a great “concept” isn’t enough; there are irrevocable rules in writing one must follow if you’re considering making a career of it. Here are the 16.

1.Cut the clutter.
Simplify. Can any thought be expressed with more economy? Are you hanging onto something because you think it’s beautiful? Some writers like to hold onto certain words or sentences because it sounds “so original” or they’ve fallen in love with their own work. Be objective. Learn to edit yourself

2.Be yourself when you write.
Strip down work before building up again, this way you can develop your own style. Do not attempt to consciously garnish your prose. Don’t say things in writing that you wouldn’t comfortably say in conversation.

3.Care for words.
Learn to arrange words so that they sound melodious and rhythmical. Readers not only read with their eyes, they hear the words in their inner ear.

4.Know correct usage.
know the difference between reference and allusion, connive and conspire, compare with and compare to. Be careful when using faddish words.

5.Write About what you know.
It’s easiest to write about something you’re an expert on. If you’re not, gather as much material on it as you can. And whether or not you’re writing about something you know or something you’re researching about, remember it comes in to steps: you perceive (use your senses and give details), and inquire(research, interview, self-inquire).

6.Use picture words.
Don’t say “We lived a long way off from town.” Rather, say: “We had to ride two jeepneys, walk past a school and a church for 20 minutes, and crossed a small stream before reaching the town.” Always try to put an image in the mind of your reader.

7.Watch the load of your sentence more than the length.
Don’t overwhelm the reader with too much info. Don’t make the reader feel like he or she is drowning in imagery or thought. Use short sentences to deliver impact

8.Avoid new words and expressions
Unless your audience calls for it. Example, “jologs,” “chillin.” be clear with your writing and what you want to say.

9.Avoid Idioms.
Especially you’re not native to them, like “woke up on the wrong side of the bed,” “dead from the neck up.” They sound clumsy and unreal.

10.Be careful with comparisons and analogies.
Some writers like to sound really intellectual and interesting. They use metaphors that only they can understand. They think they’re impressive, it only serve to alienate the reader. Use familiar ones but not clichés.

11.Punctuate simply.
If you yourself are confused by what you’re trying to say, then there’s something wrong with it. Read it again and edit.

12.Don’t leave room for misconception.
Write what you mean to say. Have a well-articulated purpose for your writing. What do you want your reader to know?

13.Avoid having to translate; don’t “double quote”.
For example, “He was livid with rage. ‘I’m burning with anger,’ he said.”

14.Good writing has musicality
Does it sound right to your inner ear? It has a rhythm and cadence. This comes automatically to more sophisticated writers.

15.Have fun with the creative process.
If you’re not having fun, maybe you should find a different game. And don’t worry if you think your process isn’t “right.”

16.Always remember the three characteristics of good writing:
It must be clear, visual and uses language logically
–Gina Abuyuan

I’m already one month old blogger Yehey! hehe. Since you already have an idea what is blog, let me bring you to the next step, How to start a blog.

It was very difficult for me when I started this blog, off course I don’t have any problem regarding installation since my host has a wordpress auto install. But there are more important factors on heaven and earth other than installing a blog software.

Lately, I realized that it’s easy to start a new blog if you just follow a step by step procedure like this.

1.Determine a theme - First, Take time to think and decide what your blog is all about? What do you want to blog about? Make some plan about it. Don’t just blog about anything. Pick a topic you are passionate about. Something that you have lots of experience with.

2.Select a Blog Software – There are many Blog Software in the net today, but I selected Wordpress and Blogger to be included here because, I haven’t tried any other than the two. Besides they are used by many respected blogger out there.

3.Free service or Cheap webhost – Do you wonder if blog is free or not? Well it depends on what kind of host you will choose. If you will use a free blogging service that is hosted for you then you can blog without spending even a single penny but, as I learned from our professor that in economics, There’s no such thing as a free lunch. Body Jones explained that,

When you start a blog with a free blogging service, you don’t get your own domain. You get something like mygreatblog.blogspot.com (where there are a million other blogs at blogspot.com) and you don’t actually own the blog. If you ever do decide to move to your own domain, you have no way to take your readers with you, because you have no control over the site.

If you want to make your blog look more attractive Go to the official Wordpress theme browser and pick a theme. They are all free. After you download the theme, unzip it then

6.Write your first post - They say that blogging is about courage to say something. yet, for me this is the most difficult part. When I wrote my first blog post I have absolutely no idea what I am going to write about. I always ran out of words and my head got blank. luckily after the sun goes down, I finished my first blog entry entitled “The first step“.

As I woke up today, I thought we’re already in the month of March but as I checked the Messages in my Inbox I noticed that it still February, February 29 a leap year. It happens only every four years so I think we need to celebrate this. Wish you all a very happy and successful Leap Year!!!

While reading my Chinese horoscope today, my chat mate asked me what I am doing right now, I said I just reading some horoscope and writing on my blog. Then she asked again, what is blog? I can’t help myself but to ask the same question. I realized now that I keep posting and telling people to visit my blog even though I still don’t know what blog really is.

Here are a few definitions of blog from other much wiser people.

‘From “Web log.” A blog is basically a journal that is available on the web. The activity of updating a blog is “blogging” and someone who keeps a blog is a “blogger.”‘ - Source

‘A blog is basically a journal that is available on the web. The activity of updating a blog is “blogging” and someone who keeps a blog is a “blogger.” Blogs are typically updated daily using software that allows people with little or no technical background to update and maintain the blog. Postings on a blog are almost always arranged in cronological order with the most recent additions featured most prominantly.’ - Source

‘A blog is a website in which items are posted on a regular basis and displayed in reverse chronological order. The term blog is a shortened form of weblog or web log. Authoring a blog, maintaining a blog or adding an article to an existing blog is called “blogging”. Individual articles on a blog are called “blog posts,” “posts” or “entries”. A person who posts these entries is called a “blogger”. A blog comprises text, hypertext, images, and links (to other web pages and to video, audio and other files). Blogs use a conversational style of documentation. Often blogs focus on a particular “area of interest”, such as Washington, D.C.’s political goings-on. Some blogs discuss personal experiences. “Blog” can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog.’ - Source.

This Video has a very cool presentation, I like his style of explaining I’m sure you can get it easily

Hi there people! I’m so busy these past few days doing link building and promotions to bring some traffic to my blog, so I’m sorry if I haven’t posted anything real lately, so here goes…

Has anyone ever encountered a situation in which you have a good traffic and your pay-per-click (or CPC, cost per click) ads is in pretty nice layout and color combination, and yet still getting less than on what you expected? I encountered that too, it’s like my visitors got an allergy in ads so even how hard I tried to optimize they were still lazy to click on it. Of course we shouldn’t tell them to click the ads or we will get banned. But still we can earn more money by putting CPM ads to our blog or website.

What are CPM ads?

cpm stands for “cost per 1000 impressions.” With cpm ads, you’ll be paid each time an ad is displayed on your page.

It means that even though there is no one clicks on ads, we still get an income as long as we have traffic on our blog,

The Example of CPM ad is Pay-Ads.com which you can earn $3 - $3.5 Cost Per 1000 impression if the traffic source are came from Australia, Canada, United Kingdom and United States using Internet Explorer and Fire Fox. They were also accepting traffic from Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Italy, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland but for only $0.5 / $0.8 using Internet Explorer and Fire Fox.

Without minimum, payouts will be made monthly on 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th, 25th and 30th through Paypal. So if you are interested making money with pay-ads, please register using this link.

If you are using other CPM ads that offer higher income than Pay-ads please share it to me. thanks!

Before I begin, let me introduce first what is Adsense for those people who have been living under a rock.

Google AdSense commonly just AdSense, is an ad serving program run by Google. Website owners can enroll in this program to enable text, image and, more recently, video advertisements on their sites. These ads are administered by Google and generate revenue on either a per-click or per-thousand-impressions basis. For me it is probably one of the most popular revenue generators in the Web.

I was very lucky when i started using Adsense, maybe because, google loves me!

The Story began 3 years ago when I saw an Adsense referral link from my friend’s website. I thought their ad is a good design on my Crappy copy paste website hosted by geocities so I tried to sign up. After 2 days of waiting I finally received a broke-up letter from Adsense, I hate to be rejected so I signed up again six times but they rejected me seven times so I stopped.

After a year, Ate Abby gave me a domain which is Makulit.net. I decided to make it a music website because I always listened on streaming music. After I built some Visitor’s traffic, I signed up again on Adsense and this time they accepted me so I’m very happy.

It took 3 months for me to earned $100 but before I received my payment. They sent first my PIN code for confirmation purposes. take a look

I Requested another PIN code because I though I would’nt received the first one . They Processed my first Adsense Cheque after I confirmed the PIN code.

My Visitors traffic is directly proportional to my earnings so while my traffic is increasing every month, my earnings are increasing too! I don’t have any pictures of my cheque to present, I already deposited to my bank account so just the details of them.

May and June 2007

My 31,800php on November 2007 is my highest earning so far, I expected before, that I would earned 40,000php on the following month but it never happened because I made some mistakes regarding the terms and condition, that’s why they suspended my site (makulit.net) last December 2007. This January I only Earned 9,177 php in adsense from my new site Himig.net

Even though one of my website has been suspended I’m still happy because my account in adsense was not banned so you guys! always check the Terms and Conditions and Google AdSense Program Policies because they always update it without prior notice.

That was 10am of January 28 when a knock on my door woke me up. Because it’s almost end of the month so I thought it’s about our electricity bill or water bill but I was surprised that it’s our local postman. So after I signed the paper of delivery, he gave me the envelope with a logo of Adbrite on the top of my name and address.

At first, I thought it’s just a pin code, like in the Adsense when you reach $50 for the first time they will send a pin code for confirmation purposes. But what the heck? I never heard about confirmation or pin code about adbrite and besides, I already earned $200 on my Adbrite account that will be process this February.

Finally, I decided to open the envelope and Uh! It became CocoCrunch! (hehe joke!). It’s an Adbrite cheque worth $52.40

After an hour, I remembered about my first adbrite account that I signed-up 3 years ago.

My first attempt on using Adbrite is unsuccesful so I abandoned it and I never knew that some of the ads in that account were still alive and kicking hehe.

I know that my cheque $52 is just a cent to you, but since I don’t expect this and it gave me some happiness for a moment so I think it’s worth a post.

If you want to sign-up and start to earn money from Adbrite, just click the logo of Adbrite in my upper post. Thanks!
